What began in the 1960s as a small paints and oxide manufacturer named Agsar Chemicals was founded by five enthusiastic brothers — Alagappan, Ganeshan, Shenbagam, Arumugasamy and Rajamanickam — with its first registered head office in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.
The enterprise earned a major expansion boost after being incorporated as Agsar Paints Private Limited in 1974. Over the last six decades we have constantly updated and reinvented the brand, carving a niche in the paint industry as a frontrunner in South India — producing high-quality paints at affordable prices, backed by a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Tuticorin.
